Short Story (ENDING)
Andrey then went and grabbbed the few dozen book that he had left in his nearly empty bachelor pad. He wanted it all to be over the society which had developed so quickly right before his eyes. If only he had the chance to grasp the changed society before it got this way. A LIFE WITHOUT BOOKS WITHOUT READING WITHOUT KNOWLEDFGFE? I HAVE NOTHING. I have nothing to live for, I tried to teach Maks and spread the art of literature. He was only a household robot and even he knew that there was a better life through knowledge of literature. This wasnt the way life was suppose to be, Maks offered to pay Andrey with food, clothes, merchandise, and some electronics. He was willing to risk everything just to gain knowledge. Why? Why would a faceless robort care? Andrey suddenly realized the answer to his own question, whether Maks was really able to feel the art of literature or not he was determined to memorisize it. Intently listening to Andrey word by word everyday storing everything he heard day by day. It had to be some type of divine intervention that brought Maks and I togther. The only thing Andrey didnt understand is what was he storing the knowledge for? Suddenly, there was an unexpected knock at the door which made Andrey jump. Who could that be? Did they find out where MKS-4355 gained enough knowledge to educate them on literary subject outside of their established school curriculum, while keeping it secret from his owners? Andrey repeated that in his mind three more times, and it finally clicked. Maks or MKS-4355, passed the knowledge on to the children of the owners. The youth of our society, the leaders of our future. It may have only been one household but, finally by word of mouth the treasure had been passed on. Although, Andrey may not see the day that this little act of teaching changes the world forever. He will now be able to live the rest of his life at peace knowing that he isnt the only one who knows the art of literature he isnt the only one who has a great apperication for every theme every lesson hidden within every page of literature. Andrey confidently walked to the door and before his eyes were children. Children? He thought it was a hulisination. The smallest child, a girl with short curly blonde locks maybe three or four, looked into Andrey eyes and said "Will you teach us too?" Andrey was taken away so overwelmed with joy he could barely utter a response. He bent down looking at the precious chi.ld eye to eye and said "I would be honored to pass on the knowledge that I so dearly love. But you must promise me onething, if i teach you this knowledge each of you must share it with one other person and they must make the same commitment." An ever lasting chain efffect that will literally change society and the future and everything he has ever dreamt of all these years. All four children said I agree to your commitment. He let the children in and then remembered the stove! He sprinted to the kitched and immeditaly shut it off. he took a deep breathe. How could i ever take my own life? What in the world was i thinking? He then brewed up some hot tea and spread butter cookies on a dish and carried them out to the children. Without Maks, he would have had nothing to offer the children, the tea and cookies came from Maks. He smiled to himself and then turned to the children and asked "where ever did you hear about the service i teach?" They responded in sync with each other and said Maks of course, he has been teaching us a new curculum for months now. He told us if anything ever happened and he was returned to the manufactuer, that we must go see you and tell you Maks sent us and he said you would then continue teaching us. Andrey absorbed what he just herd and his heart filled with warmth and hope and he silently thanked Maks.
