1. The final thing that I would read is The Help. I hopefully will have the knowledge to read it in five foreign languages. I have always been fascinated with Literature and the beauty that is locked within in it. I dream to one day read in Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Russian.
2. The final song that I would have to hear is Candle in the Wind by Elton John. For as long as I can remember I have always adored Marilyn Monroe. Elton John wrote a beautiful song that is truly a mirror image of her life. "And it seems to me you lived your life, like a candle in the wind. Never knowing who to cling to when the rain set it, and I would have liked to have known you but I was just a kid. Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did."
3. The final movie that would be a must watch is Showboat, 1951. As a child I would watch this classic over and over again it was so meaningful. Of course at the time I wasn't able to understand it the way that I do now. That factor brings Showboat an even greater beauty as while watching it.
4. The final website I would visit is http://abcnews.go.com. News has always had my interest, everyday it is constantly changing. I enjoy being up to date with the latest breaking news.
5. The final meal I would deliciously devour is octopus. When I was young I would often spend my summers with my Uncle Patrick. His address being 141 West 81st Street in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New City. One night when I was around seven years old, my uncle and I traveled by subway to Astoria where we met his friend Rob for dinner. Rob is Greek so therefore, he wanted to introduce us to the beauty of his Greek culture by taking us to a Greek restaurant. While, in the restaurant the waiters, waitresses, hostess and even the cooks were fluently speaking a foreign language. The whole atmosphere provided me with the ability to greater appreciate the beauty within our surrounding cultures. That was the first time I was double dared to eat octopus, and Julia never turns down a double dare. It was exotic and from that point on my favorite meal.
6. The last event I would have to attend is a Broadway classic, The Phantom of the Opera. During the 80's & 90's my Uncle Patrick was casted to play a minor part in the musical. My mom mom and mother were therefore blessed with seeing this musical more then they could have imagined . In fact, they attended every single one my Uncle Patrick performed in. My mother passed on this blessing to me, giving me a great appreciate for musicals, operas, and none other then Broadway. Just like in Pretty Woman, you either hate it or love it. Believe me I defiantly was one to love it and have enjoyed attending ever since.
7.If I were to get instant knowledge on any one of life's great serious mysteries it would be, is our life controlled by destiny or fate? I'm the type of person who tries to appreciate everything in my life but some circumstances leave me thinking was that fate or was that suppose to happen because its apart of my destiny.
8. If I were to get instant knowledge on any one of life's great head-scratchers mine would have to be in reference to the everyday questions I ask myself while traveling by car. I have to admit I have what is known as road rage, and I'm a little bit of a road Nazi or better known as queen of DMV. It drives me crazy when people don't stop at stop signs for a complete three seconds or stop for longer. You cant just do a tap and go, like are you blind did you see that stop sign? The biggest pet peeve I have is when people do not use a turn signal! first of all, that is the most unsafe thing a driver can do. Like I always ask myself, did you want to signal? Or are you going to make me guess which way you are going? Most annoying thing ever, and I think people need to read the DMV book every night before they fall asleep.
9. One last activity I would have to do is skydiving. For as long as I can remember, I have always begged and begged to go skydiving. My mother and I finally agreed when I graduate high school, skydiving will be my graduation present. The most fascinating facet of the entire skydiving experience may not be the speedy descent at all. At first you are locked in an intense battle with gravity, flying down to earth. Next the chute pulls and the experience goes from 100 mph to seemingly zero in the flash of a second. At that moment, it becomes more about the serenity of it all as you float down to the earth. Who wouldn't want to experience that?
10. I'm not really sure if this is considered a prized possession but, my mother is the only thing I would guard with my life. My mother and I have the most special bond that is stronger than strong. It's the kind of bond every child should experience. My mommy is literally my best friend and the only thing that has enough value to be protected by my life.
