Promise me one thing : whatever path you take in life be true to yourself.
As soon as, Shu Lien said that to Jen i immediately saw it from a buddhist view point, simply put it was a extremely riveting scene. One must stay true to ones self by understanding the true nature of their inner self. In the buddhist belief each person on earth has a different Dhmara to live out within their life here on earth. Dharma can be lived out either positively or negatively. The way that one choses to live out their Dhmara determines the outcome of ones next "stage" in life. Ones next life may consist of ones ultimate goal, enlightenment or it may consist of reincarnation.
So, when Shu Lien said that to Jen i felt as though she was telling her to remember what her duties were and have been through out her life. Stay true to who you are more importantly stay true to what your suppose to do during this life on earth. The ultimate goal is to fulfill that duty and swiftly move onto the next stage. I believe that Jen felt as though she had completed what she was to do, therefore flying into the sky was staying true to the true nature of herself. I didn't look at it as her killing herself, I saw her floating into the clouds and flying into the endless sky.
